About me:
Qualified teacher (CELTA, DELTA Module 1 & 2) and former speaking examiner (CEFR levels A2 to C2).
I have 15 years experience of teaching English in England, Italy and Japan. I have taught all levels, from absolute beginner to proficiency, on a range of course types including Exam preparation (IELTS and Cambridge exams), General English, Medical English and Business English.
Exam preparation courses have been my main focus for the last 8 years and I have experience of preparing learners for all cambridge suite exams (CPE, CAE, FCE, PET and KET) and IELTS.
I am currently working as a writing and speaking examiner for the ELLT exam, assessing candidates wanting to attend university in the UK.
I have worked as a speaking examiner for exams at levels A2 to C2 of the CEFR, though legally I'm not allowed to mention which ones. I have also trained and worked as an interlocutor for the OET (occupational English test), which is a medical English exam.
I am knowledgeable, adaptable and enthusiastic. My students have a high success rate in exams and I take pride in my job.
I'm 42 and I was born in Portsmouth, in the UK. I have worked in Tokyo, Yokohama, Pisa, Milan, Varese, Rimini, Pescara and other cities. I've been vegan for last 20 years and in my free time I enjoy cooking, reading, travelling, playing with technology and cycling.
